Nikon D5500 vs Nikon D5300 – Comparison

Perhaps somewhat unsurprisingly, considering they’re designed to sit alongside each other in Nikon’s DSLR line-up, there’s very little to separate the D5500 and D5300.

In fact, the two cameras share an almost identical specification. The only major differences between the two are that the D5500 now features touchscreen LCD technology. The impact of the removal of GPS technology – another key change – is offset by the retention of Wi-fi connectivity.

The two are both very impressive entry-level DSLRs – if you have to pick between the pair and can do without the touchscreen technology the D5300 will serve you well.
