The city that never sleeps has so much to give, that I would happily photograph it forever
New York is one of the most photographed cities in the world, and for good reason. It presents the photographer with a raft of opportunities and can look very different between day and night, winter and summer and even street-to-street. The city has been the backdrop for hundreds of classic films and suits anything from film noir to glossy colour, though my favourites tend to be more towards the dark industrial Gotham style shots.
These two sites show two very different sides to New York, the first is a photostory with a very filmatic feel, and the second set shows more of the spirit of the city when, after a heavy blizzard, the roads around Times square were closed and the crowds all joined in a good-spirited snowball fight.
