Panasonic Lumix CM1 Review – Verdict

Panasonic Lumix CM1 product shot 2

Previous attempts to combine the full functionality of a smartphone with a serious traditional digital camera have been less than successful, often not quite managing to get either aspect quite right and thus ending up with an uncomfortable foot in both camps.

The Panasonic CM1, however, impresses in managing to successfully execute both the smartphone and the camera aspect with very few compromises.

Although it is lacking in optical image stabilisation, as well as a handgrip, it’s worth bearing in mind that this is the first generation in a range that is sure to see several more iterations.

With that in mind, the CM1 is certainly a camera to get excited about, as it’s the best executed integration of smartphone and tablet we’ve seen to date
