Nikon D7200 vs Nikon D7100 – Comparison

As has become the trend in recent times, the Nikon D7200 doesn’t add huge amount to either the specification or the design of the D7100. That’s not to say there aren’t changes, however, and the modification made have certainly had an impact on the camera’s performance.

The begin with the D7200 features Nikon’s latest EXPEED 4 processor, and as such it offers both improved operational speeds and a bigger buffer allowing for more images to be captured in a burst. The implementation of an updated AF system will also provide faster focusing speeds.

The D7200 also sees the addition of NFC connectivity, allowing it to be connected to an NFC-equipped smartphone or tablet simply by touching the two together. The camera’s battery life is also upped considerably.

Outside of these changes however, the D7200 really doesn’t vary that wildly from its predecessor. So, if you’re happy with the D7100’s buffer capacity, AF speeds and don’t necessarily require NFC connectivity, you might be best off opting for the D7100.
