Sanyo is adding to its Xacti camera line-up with the launch of a new splash-resistant Xacti VPC-CA6 ? a pocket sized MPEG4 digital movie camera and 6MP still camera. The camera is designed to appeal to those who enjoy outdoor activities and want to record their adventures.
Featuring a unique metallic white and orange finish, the CA6 is IPX4 rated, meaning that water spray or snow will not enter the camera and it can be used safely with wet hands. In addition the Xacti CA6 records DVD quality video at 30fps (640 x 480 resolution) as well as 6MP images to either an SD or SDHC media card. The camera can capture over four hours of continuous video recording when used with a 4GB SD media card or over one hour when used with a 1GB media card (VGA: 640 x 480 – MPEG4 video) with stereo sound. Still images and video can be captured simultaneously.
A brand new ?Snow and Beach? mode optimizes shooting conditions to improve shots in these bright daylight conditions. Images can be edited in-camera, saved to computer using USB or printed thanks to PictBridge functionality.
Additional features include a 2-inch flip out LCD, 5x optical zoom and digital anti-shake correction. A nine-image display function, ?Art mode? and slideshow are all on hand to speed up and improve image playback.
