FS series additions arrive in pairs

Panasonic has announced four new additions to its acclaimed FS series of Lumix compacts. The four new models – the FS30 and FS33, along with the FS10 and FS11 – offers a range of advanced functionality synonymous with the acclaimed Lumix range.

The FS10 and FS11 share similar specifications, with both models offering the combination of 5x Optical zoom and 2.7in LCD screen, while also offering HD video recording at 1280 x 720p resolution. The only place that the two compacts vary is in the resolution of their sensors, with the FS10 boasting a 12.1MP model, compared to the FS11’s 14.1MP.

The other two new compacts – the FS30 and FS33 – also share similar specifications. Both models offer 14.1MP sensors and 8x optical zooms with a wide angle of 28mm. Again, both models offer the ability to shoot HDR video at 1280 x 720p and sport slim and compact bodies. The differentiating factor between the pair is the size of LCD screen – the FS30 sports a 2.7in LCD, while the FS33 features a 3in touch screen LCD.

No news on pricing as yet, but expect to see the quartet on shelves from the middle of February.
