FE-3010, FE-5000 and FE-45 bolster starter snapper series

Olympus completed a bumper day for camera launches with the release of three new additions to its FE range – the FE-3010, FE-5000 and FE-45.

Aimed primarily at the entry-level market, the new models boasts simple specifications, though the new models feature an almost complete face lift.

Two of the models – the FE-5000 and FE-45 – feature 10MP sensors, with the main difference between the pair being the FE-5000 boasting a 5x optical zoom, compared to the FE-45’s 3x optical zoom. The FE-3010, however, combines a 12MP sensor and 3x optical zoom.

All three models are available in a range of colours, and feature Olympus’s range of imaging tools, which the brand claim allow the new models to follow its ‘One button, One function’ design principle.

Expect to see the FE-5000 and FE-45 models on shelves towards the end of the month, with the FE-3010 to follow in March.

Prices are yet to be announced, but to keep up to date and for full specifications, head on over to Olympus.
