Epson has announced the launch of the Perfection V600 Photo scanner. The model boasts the ability to digitise an extensive range of films and prints at fast speeds, doing so with low power consumption thanks to Energy Star compliancy.

The Perfection V600 offers a 6400dpi optical resolution and 3.4DMAX optical density for film scanning, meaning high-quality images are attainable for both photo and film scans.

Furthermore, the Perfection V600 Photo features a built-in Transparency Unit offering support for full panoramic medium format, while the Epson Scan software itself now supports both Windows 7 and Snow Leopard, the latest operating system from Apple.
