The Nikon D5500 is the latest entry-level DSLR from Nikon, promising to deliver a greater range of functionality than ever before to the newcomer to DSLR photography.

The D5500 follows on from the D5300 and the D5200 – a pair of DSLRs which impressed both the general public and reviewers alike.

As a result of the predecessors success, it’s perhaps unsurprising that the D5500 inherits a host of its core features from the D5300. These include the models APS-C sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor, and as a result the model should be capable of as impressive images as was seen before.
