The new Kodak EasyShare S730 with its one-hour rechargeable battery allows you to share your pictures and videos on the go. This sleek black frame boasts storage of up to 8,000 pictures with its 1GB of memory in comparison to Sony’s view of 2,000 photos per 1GB.
While the compact design makes this portable frame ‘easy to share’, the 7in screen is perhaps on the smaller side in comparison to other digital frames. Nevertheless, it still displays high quality images on its 800 x 400 pixel screen, but also holds a high price.
The frame boasts a range of viewing modes, with the touch-sensitive screen allowing the user to change the display options, as well as edit them with Kodak’s Colour Science Technology.
Other features include an automatic picture finder, in addition to clock and calendar display.
There’s a whole host of ways for users to input their photos and videos, there’s a six-in-one card slot for SD, MMC, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, and xD – though no Compact Flash – and a USB input for flash drives.
However, the stated number of photos that can be stored in the memory does appear fairly generous compared to other models with the same capacity. The pull-out stand at the back, meanwhile, allows for both a mounted frame or a portable one, in the latter case power being taken from the rechargeable battery.
Overall this digital frame appears to be well presented, with a simple-to-use touch interface. Despite the slightly high price, and the slightly small screen size, it is still a sound option for photographers looking to display their images in style.
