Photoshop CS3 users will be able to get Adobe's Creative Cloud Photoshop photography program at a special discounted price

UPDATE 21/11/13:

Adobe has extended the availability of the Photoshop Photography Program to all photographers, not just users of CS3 or later. Now anyone can get access to Photoshop CC, Lightrooom 5 and the rest for £8.78 per month until the offer expires on December 31st.

Adobe says that the original offer for CS3 users will remain in place after this one expires. See Adobe’s online FAQ for more details.

ORIGINAL STORY 05/09/13:

Adobe made an interesting announcement at Photoshop World in Las Vegas yesterday – a Creative Cloud subscription program designed specifically for photographers, at a reduced price.

The firm announced that users of Photoshop CS3 or later will be able to subscribe to the new Photoshop Photography Program for just $9.99 (£8.78 for us) per month.

Adobe stressed that this isn’t just an introductory offer – provided users subscribe by December 31 2013, the reduced price is there to stay.

The Photoshop Photography Program comprises: Photoshop CC, Lightroom 5, 20GB, BeHance ProSite, access to Creative Cloud Learn and ongoing upgrades and updates

This isn’t the first time Adobe has tinkered with the Creative Cloud model in recent months – in August the firm introduced a single-app plan for creative teams.

The offer will be available in the next couple of weeks, when Adobe also plans to introduce the new version of Lightroom 5.
