Sony has launched two new home photo printers. The DPP-FP55 and DPP-FP35 use dye-sublimination technology and represent mid range and entry level additions to Sony?s popular digital printing line up.
Following in the footsteps of the FP50, the new FP55 incorporates a 2.0inch colour LCD with ?three-step? functionality. Completely cable-free, Sony says users simply need to insert a memory card, select their images on screen and then push the print button to finish. The Sony FP55 features direct SD and MS/MSDuo card slots while PC users can also connect via a USB cable and port.
The Sony DPP-FP35 hopes to offer a more accessible price point in addition to a user-friendly interface and compact dimensions. Without the LCD screen and memory card ports of its pricier stable mate, the FP35 can connects to a PC via USB, or to a camera or mobile phone using PictBridge technology.
Speaking of the new printers, Sony Europe?s Vice President Takashi Kondo said, ?With the latest additions to the Sony digital printer family, we are taking home photo printing to a new level. Our aesthetic printers won?t look out of place in the most stylish of homes, with the highest print quality you would expect from your local photo developer.?
The two printers will be rolled out during July and August. Find out full details at www.sony.co.uk
