Samsung completed a manic day of releases with the announcement of the 8MP S85, vowing to set a new standard in entry-level point and shoots.

The S85 possesses an impressive feature set, starting with a 5x optical zoom (38-190mm 35mm equivalent), SHD lens and running right through ASR image stabilisation and Wise Shot technology.

Image capture is handled through 14 scene modes, such as the conventional Night and Portrait modes, and a range of image effects is accessible through Samsungs characteristic ?E? button, such as B&W, Sepia and Negative.
