Have your portrait taken for charity

Attendees of this year’s Big Chill festival are to be given the opportunity of a lifetime this year. Photographer Rankin, who boasts a portfolio including the likes of U2, Jarvis Cocker, Madonna and Oasis, has announced that he will be appealing to festival-goers to be one element of his museum scale exhibition RankinLive!, which will see Rankin capture images of over 1,000 Britons, opened on the 31st July and is scheduled to close on the 18th September and is currently being housed at the Truman brewery, Brick Lane, London with an Entry Fee of £10.

In addition, the iconic photographer has invited festival-goers to take part in his unique live and interactive exhibition concept and be shot as part of a live photo shoot throughout the festival. With each picture costing £50, Big Chillers can have their portrait taken by Rankin and help raise funds for Oxfam.

The Big Chill is currently running from the 6th-9th August 2009 at Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire, with tickets ranging from £4 – £155 depending on age and camping arrangements.
