About the The UK Picture Editors’ Guild

The UK Picture Editors’ Guild has chosen Reuters’ Stefan Wermuth as the winner of the prestigious SABMiller Photographer of the Year for a diverse portfolio that includes former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s funeral, Andy Murray’s Wimbledon victory and a demonstration by the English Defence League.

Stefan also won the title of Opentext News Photographer of the Year. Bjorn Olsson was victorious in the BT Citizen Photographer of the Year Competition, which is open to amateurs.

The images will be presented in an exhibition at the Museum of London, opening Wednesday November 6 and running until March 16, 2014.
