New Micro Four Thirds lens aims to minimise distortion and chromatic aberrations

Panasonic has announced the new Lumix G 20 mm / F1.7 ASPH – a pancake lens with a newly designed metallic profile and black and silver finish.

The lens features an iris diaphragm and two aspherical lenses to help utilise a high resolution during capture.

The seven rounded blades, meanwhile, result in a smoother effect in the out-of-focus sections when working with higher aperture settings.

The Lumix G 20 mm / F1.7 ASPH is a versatile lens suitable for all levels of photographers. This is due to its 20mm focal distance, which can be used for a variety of occasions from daily snapshots to scenery and dimly lit indoor photography.

The new lens will be available from the 29th July, although at this current moment in time Panasonic hasn’t stated an official price.
