Three lenses have been announced in the new DT series, which are compatible with Dynax digital SLR cameras that feature an APS-C CCD.
Covered in a special coating to reduce the effects of flare, each lens is designed specifically for use with a digital camera .They feature a round aperture that creates smooth gradations, which are designed to enhance a defocused image. Each lens includes a distance encoder that works out the distance to the subject, and an advanced distance integration (ADI) calculates optimum flash settings.
The Konica Minolta AF DT Zoom 18-70mm F3.5-5.6 (D) is constructed from 11 elements in 9 groups, including one aspheric element and one anomalous dispersion (AD) element. Retailing at £110 it provides a minimum focus distance of 38cm.
Constructed from 15 elements in 12 groups, including three aspheric elements, the Konica Minolta AF DT Zoom 11-18mm F4.5-5.6 (D) can focus as close as 25cm and has a filter diameter of 77mm. It will retail at around £449.
With a guide price of £379.99, the Konica Minolta AF DT Zoom 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 (D) can focus as close as 45cm, it is constructed from 15 elements in 13 groups and includes two AD and three aspheric elements.
