Put wide angle, zoom and macro lenses onto the Apple iPhone
An adapter to attach DSLR lenses to an iPhone has been made available, allowing Canon and Nikon owners to utilize their optics when taking snaps. The autofocus and aperture are, of course, unavailable when the lenses are being used with the adapter, meaning a fair amount of editing will be needed once the shots are taken.
Manual focus must also be used, and the lack of mirror will mean images need to be flipped. Older lenses offering manual aperture rings will be useful, as between 1 and 2 stops will be lost. A built-in UV filter should reduce the amount of magenta casting on images, although the light will have to travel through a lengthy adapter tube before hitting the lens.
The adapter is currently only available in the US from www.photojojo.com
