Lightweight mounted camera now able to descend to 197ft (60m)

The GoPro HD Hero is now able to descend to a depth of 197ft, or 60 meters, thanks to a new dive housing. The HD Hero is favoured by extreme sports enthusiasts due to its ability to record high quality HD footage, and hi-res stills, and thanks to the new housing being submerged is also no problem at all.

The new housing will cost £50, is compatible with all HD Hero cameras and can be found at GoPro’s website.

The ‘new’ dive housing was released to fix the blur issue with the normal housing which is still rated to 60m. GoPro have also said it will not suffer vignetting like other 3rd party flat lens solutions.
