The X1 is the latest release into Konica Minolta?s new X-series, featuring an 8MP CCD and 3x optical zoom.
In a first for the DiMAGE compact range it includes Konica Minolta?s anti-shake technology, previously seen on cameras like the Dynax 7D and DiMAGE A200. By moving the CCD to counteract any movement, it enables the camera to be used in low-light conditions, with less chance of the pictures being blighted by camera shake.
Natural looking images are promised from the CxProcess III processing technology.
With a depth of 19.5mm, the X1 is very slim, as it incorporates a newly designed sliding-lens system which doesn?t protrude from the metallic body. Pictures can be viewed on the 2.5in LCD screen, with a backlight function.
Super Macro Mode can focus from as close as 5cm from the subject and the Digital Subject Program Selection automatically chooses the best scene mode for the shooting conditions. The X1 can also capture VGA movies with sound at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.
