The 1 Nikkor VR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 portable super telephoto, above, boasts an ultra-compact design and a retractable mechanism that makes it extra portable when not in use. It is made with Super ED Glass, built-in Vibration Reduction (VR), and Nano Crystal Coating.
A focus limit switch on the lens allows the user to set a specific distance range for the subject, reducing focus acquisition time. With its light, compact build the lens is designed for those who want to capture distant subjects handheld.
The thin 1 Nikkor VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 PD ZOOM replaces the 1 NIKKOR VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 in Nikon's 1 Nikkor lineup.
It features an electric power zoom ring for swift zooming and intuitive operation.
Like the telephoto it features a retractable mechanism for easy transportation. In place of a lens cap it features an electronic lens cover that instantly opens when the lens is connected to a powered-up camera. When the camera turns off the cover closes and the lens instantly retracts.
A number of optional accessories are available for both lenses, including a detachable tripod mount for the 70-300mm and a soft case for each lens. The 70-300mm comes with a bayonet hood included in the price.
Both the 1 Nikkor VR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 and the 1 Nikkor VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 PD ZOOM are available in black, priced £879.99 and £249.99 respectively. Sales will start on April 17.
