The new competition will, according to Charlie, 'celebrate the rural and urban landscape of the USA' while also offering photographers from all over the world a chance to get their hands on some serious cash.
The USA Landscape Photographer of the Year competition will offer a total of $14,000 in prize money, $5000 of which will go to the overall winner and $1000 to the Youth (Under-21) winner.
Charlie has assembled a prestigious panel of judges for the award, including Art Wolfe, Christopher Burkett, Jim Patterson and, of course, Charlie himself.
