The Kodak PixPro SL10 and SL25, announced at CES, work in a similar manner to Sony's QX10 and QX100

The Kodak PixPro cameras attach to a smartphone, allowing the user to pair them with the device using a dedicated app for iOS or Android and then use the phone as a viewscreen and shutter release, just like the QX series.

The new PixPro cameras will reportedly be equipped with 16MP sensors, and Kodak has revealed that the SL25 will come with a 25x optical zoom on its 24mm wide angle lens, and the SL10 (pictured above) with a 10x optical zoom on a 28mm wide angle lens.

Both the SL10 and SL25 will feature Optical Image Stabilisation and be capable of shooting Full HD video. There will also be a Micro SD slot on both cameras, and Near Field Communication connectivity in addition to the built-in Wi-fi.

Kodak says the SL10 and SL25 are due for launch in April.
