Canon is expanding its range of EF-M mount lenses with the announcement of the EF-M 11-22mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM. Offering a 35mm focal length equivalent of 17.6-35.2mm to deliver a ultra wide-angle coverage for EOS M users who until now have been relying on the EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM and EF-M 22mm f/2 STM set of lenses, as well as the EF-EOS M mount adapter.
The new lenses features Canon's Image Stabilizer technology to combat camera shake with a 3-stop shutter speed advantage, while the STM stepper motor aims to suppress focusing noise during movie capture, as well as delivering smooth transitions when focus is changed.
The Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lens will be available from July with an RRP price of £379.99.
