Panasonic has launched a pair of new camcorders, in the shape of the TA20 and TA2.

The TA20, or HM-TA20 to give it its full name, features the ‘triple tough' design comprising of 3-meter waterproofing, 1.5-meter shockproofing and overall dustproofing. The compact camcorder offers a large 3in LCD complete with Touch Operation controls, allowing users to not only perform essential operations, but also edit, upload and configure videos with simple touch operation.

The 8MP TA20 offers blur-free shooting with Electrical Image Stabilisation and offers Panasonic's proprietary Intelligent Auto mode for simple image capture. A new Night View Mode also features, offering bright movie shooting even in dimly lit conditions.

Panasonic have also announced the TA2 which, on first inspection, appears to feature an almost-identical specification.
