Sony World Photography Award winners 2010 announced

Italian photographer Tommaso Ausili has won the l'iris d'Or at the Sony World Photography Awards 2010 in Cannes. His series 'Hidden Death', taken within an assembly line at an abbatoir, took the overall prize after triumphing in the Photojournalism and Documentary category. Amateur photographer Vitali Seitz took the Amateur award for 'Hauskonzert: Home concert' which depicts an informal concert to celebrate a family birthday.
Both sets of images will be displayed in a worldwide exhibition touring the world until next year.
