Firmware updates for Nikon D40 and D40x models

Nikon has made firmware updates available for its D40 and D40x models.

Nikon D40

The updates, v1.12 for the D40 and v.1.01 for the D40x, address battery performance with the EN-EL9a battery. Once installed, Nikon claims that the update allows approximately 510 shots in single shot mode and 2,400 shots on a continuous burst setting.
