iView Multimedia and stock-photography library Alamy join forces to release the Alamy Wizard; a timesaving way for professional photographers to market their digital photographs.
Currently, when contributing photographs to a stock library, photographers have to submit caption information, tags and file identifiers for each photograph. Available as a download for use with iView Media Pro, the Alamy Wizard combines the tagging and cataloguing systems used by both companies, speeding up the process to three steps.
The wizard works by collating the photos required for submission into a text file called ?Package Index txt,? the pictures are then burnt to disk and sent to Alamy in the usual way. Then on the Alamy website, the photographer needs to log onto the ?Prepare images for sale? section, and when the photographs are there, email the ?Package Index txt? file to memberservices@alamy.com
