Pentax has introduced a DA Fish-Eye 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5ED (IF) lens, designed especially for use with digital SLRs.
Combining a wideangle 10mm focal length with an 180° angle-of-view, the lens is compatible with Pentax?s *ist D range of digital SLRs. With dimensions of 68×71.5mm and weighing 320g, it is more compact and lightweight than comparative 35mm lenses.
Constructed from 10 elements in 8 groups, its Extra-low (Dispersion) glass is designed to rectify chromatic aberration, while the lens coating reduces ghost and flare.
Focusing as close as 2.5cm from the subject, Pentax?s Quick-Shift Focus System makes it easy to swap quickly to manual focus. Super Protective (SP) coating made from a special fluoride has been applied to the front of the lens, to repel oil and water, making it easier to clean.
