Magix has announced the latest version of its slideshow creation software. Supporting a range of file formats including JPEG, BMP, Tiff and Gif, the program enables you to acquire your images from a digital camera, scanner or hard drive. Incorporated into version 4 is Magix Photo Clinic 4.5 that can rectify common photo problems, including red-eye removal, while new features include a magnetic lasso and image overview. Magix has improved the Overview and Storyboard modes to ensure it is quicker and easier than ever to create slideshows, incorporating transitions, subtitles, music, zooms, panning and a selection of new 3D effects. Slideshows can be burnt onto CD, DVD, mini DVD, VCD and Super Video CD, using one of 50 DVD player menu templates, which can be viewed on a television, at a new full-screen resolution of 1280x. Photos can be uploaded to Magix Online Photo Album, which includes 25Mb of storage. Compatible with Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000 and XP, Magix Photos on CD and DVD 4.0 will retail for £19.99, or you can download it for £16.99 from www.magix.net.
