Two new Vosonic drives from Cardmedia

UK availability has been announced for two portable storage devices from Vosonic – the X’S-Drive II Plus VP2160 and the X’S-Drive Super VP6210.

UK availability has been announced for two portable storage devices from Vosonic the XS-Drive II Plus VP2160 and the XS-Drive Super VP6210. The XS-Drive II Plus VP2160 is a portable storage device available in capacities from 20 80GB. A range of different memory cards, including CompactFlash, Secure Digital, xD-Picture card, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro, fit into two slots into the side of the unit. Power is supplied from rechargeable batteries, promising a life span of six hours, while an LCD panel indicates the battery life, remaining storage space and the file transfer status. Offering USB 2.0 transfer speeds, the XS-Drive II Plus VP2160 features one-touch on/off and copy buttons. Providing compatibility with a wide range of memory cards (some with an adaptor) the second release is XS-Drive Super VP6210. It includes a 2-inch LCD screen for viewing digital photographs including RAW files from Nikon, Olympus, Canon and Fujifilm along with Exif information. It can be controlled remotely thanks to a supplied remote control and can play MP3 and VGA music and MPEG-1 movies. Prices for the XS-Drive II Plus VP2160 start at 155 for 20GB. You can expect to pay 245 for the 20GB XS-Drive Super VP6210 and 299 for the larger 80GB capacity.
