Two macro lenses from Sigma

Sigma has announced two new macro lenses designed for use with Digital SLR cameras.

Sigma has announced two new macro lenses designed for use with Digital SLR cameras. Constructed from 14 elements in 10 groups, the 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 APO DG Macro lens and 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DG Macro lens are both compatible with Sigma, Nikon-D, Canon, Konica Minolta and Pentax mounts. To minimise the effect of flare and ghost, both lenses incorporate a multi-layer coating, and chromatic aberration is corrected thanks to Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass. A macro switch can be used to swap into macro mode with a magnification of 1:2 at focal lengths of 200-300mm, giving both lenses a minimum focusing distance of 95cm. The 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 APO DG Macro lens will retail at 199.99 and the 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DG Macro will cost 149.99. Call 01707 329 999 or go to www.sigma-imaging-uk.com for more details.
