Replacing my Fuji F50
Hi there, is anyone aware of a compact in the £100-£200 range that will come close to matching the low light picture quality of my dear old Fuji F50fd but also give me the HD video it sadly lacks.
My wife bought me a Fuji T500 (which I later sold) and I currently have a Lumix DMC FS16. In both cases I found the low light pictures to be on the "soft" side with no sharpness in the picture or colour. I also found the auto setting on both cameras to be hugely inconsistent even when taking test shots from the same spot using a tripod.
I had never realised until recently that the F50 had a 1/1.6 sensor which is pretty good compared with most of the modern budget compacts that have the 1/2.3" sensor. So is there anything out there with decent auto settings and indoor performance (+ HD video) in the £100-£200 range? We hope to use it night and day for our holiday to Disneyland so the smaller the better!!
