Five HD Pentax-DA Limited interchangeable lenses for use with K-mount digital cameras have been announced

Based on the design and appearance of Pentax’s Limited Lens series, these five new Pentax-DA lenses come with additional new features such as HD coating and a round-shaped diaphragm.

A 15mm f/4, a 21mm f/3.2, a 35mm f/2.8 macro, a 40mm f/2.8 and a 70mm f/2.4 comprise the full HD Pentax DA Limited lens series.

Ricoh says that the high-grade, multi-layer HD coating on every lens will provide much higher light transmission than traditional multi-layer coating, and produce sharp, flare-free images even in difficult lighting conditions.

The firm also says that the round-shaped diaphragm will produce a natural bokeh effect while minimising streak effects from point-source lights.

The HD Pentax-DA 40mm f/2.8 Limited also boasts Super Protect (SP) coating to keep its front surface free from dust or stains.
