Review of the Joby Gorillapod
|Cons:||Too flimsy for using with heavier cameras and DSLRs|
For compact digital cameras, the humble mini-tripod is a must, but they’re limited to where you can use them. The Gorillapod breaks from the norm. Made from a series of connecting ball and sockets, the legs can be twisted and turned to adapt to uneven surfaces. Even better, the legs can be twisted around objects such as tree branches, fence posts or similar, to provide support in any unusual location. It even comes with a quick-release plate. Not recommended for use with larger or heavier cameras, the Gorillapod is small and lightweight and ideal for slipping in a coat pocket
For compact onwners looking for as versatile mini tripod the Joby Gorillapod is a great idea, well executed.
