i have this lens. lt fits my sony a33 and sony 380. this lens works very well and the images are quite clear with excellent color. l would rate it higher than 85, more like a 90 as compared to other lenses of the same magnification. BETTER THAN MY 70-300MM NIKON.

Tamron makes this lens now to fit the sony line. It doesn't have image stability motor or auto focusing motor because the sony cameras have that motor in their body, so their lenses is lighter. The sony lens also has a filter thread size of 62mm not 67 as you state the nikon and cannon version has. l find this lens to be excellent init's image. The only thing i do not like is that the actual fitting that attaches the lens to the camera is plastic i paid 369.00 dollars american, brand new from tamron dealer

I AM RATING THIS LENS A 98, IT COULDN'T BE SHARPER...I USE AT 90MM TO 300MM....
