What S/W version did your camera come with ? 0.2 or 1.0 ? (there is a significant diff. in IQ from 0.2 to 1.0)

It's possible shots have been uploaded from the wrong folder - I was told the camera was updated to f/w 1.0 and shots then taken.

I dropped my much-loved FZ50 in the sea recently, so this looks a fine potential replacement, more convenient than the interchangeable lens G series, or anything from Nikon.

Am I right in thinking that the FZ150 can take a still shot while shooting HD video? This isn't mentioned in the review but I think is another useful point of comaprison between cameras.

very nice camera but its image quality and noise suppresion cant quite match the canon sx40 HS and at the ent of the day its picture quality that really counts not high speeds and gimmicks.

I would find a auto-move from a EVF to a screen & visa versa EXTREMLY annoying! It is very easy to just press a button to do this.

Hi This review states that full HD at 50p is actually based on the sensor processing at 25p. But Panasonic's specificications for this camera state: HD Video 1920 x 1080 pixels, 50p (PSH: 28Mbps / AVCHD) (Sensor output is 50p)

I'm considering getting this camera but cant help being temted to go for a Canon 1100D. I want it for a honeymoon safari in August and am wondering if it will be up to the job of taking wildlife photography?

Elliot, I have an FZ150 and also a Canon 550D. The Fz is an excellent camera but cannot compare to a 550D in terms of image. The same would likely go for the 1100D. Horses for courses!!! Don't forget cost as well.

if you have one in your hands for a few days, you will be pleasantly satisfied. and if you're old enough to remember that for many many years, ISO400 was the fastest to hope for with film, and all the great images of history were done at this, or slower film speeds, you will be totally content with this camera. I sold my Nikon D80 with 18-200 lens soon after getting this camera. If you can't take excellent pictures with this camera, then it's the photographer's fault, not the cameras'.

greetings...every review has been read concerning this camera including comparisons of the closest competitors.using the addage"the cream allways goes to the top" in all reviews this panasonic bests them consistently.
