When videoing scenes with bright spots (e.g sun reflecting off water), the resultant video shows heavy pink lines across the screen due to 'smearing'. This is stored in the recorded video file. I complained to the store I purchased the camera from and they called Nikon who stated that this happens and its covered on page 115 in the manual! If i'd have know this I wouldn't have bought it. Avoid if you want to use for video recording.

a nice looking, easy to use camera.ideal for quick, clear snaps.nicely responsive buttons too.video recording is not bad for vga,but i bought it to take photos not videos.all in all very good for a cheaper coolpix camera and i got mine for just £49.99!

Just bought this camera with a case and memory card from Asda for £39 - a complete bargain. My 9 year old niece is getting it for Christmas and it will be absolutely fine for her as a starter camera.

I got a Nikon l23 for christmas i just wanted a camera for taking pictures when out in the countryside also family photos I think its a great camera because if you take a group photo you can zoom in on the actual photo andtake a picture of the indevidual person on the photo without loosing the whole picture
