The Panasonic FS15 is one of the smaller compact in the FS series, but does it still pack the punch of its larger siblings? The Panasonic FS15 review finds out...

Pros: Good image quality, affordable price
Cons: Body lacks a quality finish, 2.7in LCD could be better

The Panasonic FS15 is best viewed as the smaller, in both specification and size, model in the current FS line-up, and is also a few pounds cheaper. The model sports a 12.1MP sensor and 5x optical zoom - 29-145mm - while also featuring a 2.7in LCD screen and range of shooting modes. Amongst these shooting modes is Panasonic's renowned Intelligent Auto, claiming to take care of the capture process for you.

Aside of a few millimetres on the cameras various dimensions, and some 30g shed from the models weight, the dimensions of the Panasonic FS15 are much the same as the FS25. The camera also sports the same eye-catching brushed steel finish as the FS25, making it both attractive and comfortable in the hand.

The Panasonic FS15 is pleasing in use and benefits from an intuitive menu configuration. Image quality is generally reliable, while exposure and white balance are also dependable. The only criticism would be that the drop in weight makes the FS15 seem even more plasticky.
