The Casio EX-Z280, like the EX-Z270 before it, has a one touch video mode, and is an affordable £160 from a number of retailers. It's good value and comes in an array of colours. The Z280's improvements over the previous model are slight, with an extra two megapixels of resolution taking its total to 12.1MP, an improved LCD resolution meaning it's to the 230K-dot standard and lastly the lens is now slightly wider, shooting 26-104mm (4x optical zoom). Auto best Shot, Make Up mode, Image Stabilisation and Subject Tracking AF all feature as before.
It's not without problems though, as the screen's not perfect to view from multiple angles and lacks the punch and contrast expected. Also the high ISO settings leave much to be desired
