The Billingham Hadley Digital is capable of holding an SLR and standard zoom in its nicely cushioned interior, with a generous front pocket for stashing spare memory cards (or film) and batteries.
Like with other Billingham bags the construction can’t be faulted, with a tough outer skin, sturdy leather quick-release strap and leather trim set to give years of good service (backed by a unique time-unlimited warranty).
However, if you want to take a spare lens with you then you’re going to be out of luck because this is strictly for one body and one ‘standard sized’ lens, which limits its growing room somewhat.
It isn’t particularly cheap either.
\nVerdict
Billingham is world renowned for the quality of its photo bags, but at this price, you may want to look elsewhere for something more roomyVerdict

Given the ridiculous hysteria surrounding using a camera in a public place since 9/11 & 7/7, I have found this bag to be absolutely invaluable. The other bags in the Hadley range are not deep enough for me. I needed a small bag, deep enough to carry a Nikon F Photomic FTN and an 85mm f2 lens for street photography. My old army jacket pockets were fine for a Leica but not the old Nikon. This bag is perfect as it provides sufficient room to house the camera, films, Filofax in the front pocket and pens etc, but small enough to push behind me if I see someone ringing the police.
