In this set of short videos we’ll be testing 3 memory cards: a CompactFlash card, a SDHC card and a Memory Stick Duo Pro card.

We’re planning to freeze them, put them in a washing machine, drop a significant weight on them and heat them in an oven to replicate the kind of conditions that you might but your memory card through. Find out how each type of card performed.

Test 1 – The Freeze Test – 2 hours in a domestic freezer

Test 2 – The Water Test – Full cycle in a washing machine

Test 3 – The Impact Test – 5kg dropped from knee, waist, chest and head height

Test 4 – The Cooker Test – 10 mins at 50 degrees Celsius
