The problem with making prints at home is you’re largely restricted to how big an enlargement you can achieve by the maximum paper size of your printer. However, with PosteRazor this is no longer a problem.
Running under both Windows and Mac systems, the software produces poster-sized enlargements from a single image, cutting the enlarged image into ‘tiles’ that will fit the paper in your printer.
Using a ‘wizard’ interface, you’re invited to choose your source image, set the output size (either the measurement, percentage increase or number of pages you want to print across in terms of width / height) and the software does the rest. The end result is a multi-page PDF document, which – when printed and reassembled – gives you a giant version of the original image. The option to overlap the ‘tiles’ (pages) means you can assemble multiple prints perfectly, or you can mount each page, leaving gaps between them to create a series of panels. n
Verdict
A great way of making big prints without a big printer.
