The View from the Shard will be hosting two photography mornings in March to allow visitors a chance to capture shots of the capital from Western Europe's tallest building

Photographers will be able to use tripods and other equipment that is not normally permitted inside The Shard in two exclusive morning events next month.

Taking place in two viewing galleries on levels 69 and 72, the event will offer 360-degree views of the London cityscape, which on a clear day can extend for up to 40 miles.

The view will take in many important and iconic London landmarks.

While photographers will only have the option to shoot through glass, spokespeople for the event say they have reduced the overhead lighting level in order to minimise reflections as much as possible. On Level 72 there are areas where the glass is only single pane, rather than double.

The View from the Shard will be held on March 22 and 29. Tickets are available now from lastminute.com, priced at £29.50.
