Landmark reached in six years since launch of EOS 300D

Canon has reached the landmark of 10,000,000 DSLRs produced since the launch of its first, the EOS 300D, in 2003.

Canon’s
incredible production output has been driven predominately by the brand’s triple-digit range, starting with the EOS 300D, continuing with the 350D, 400D and 450D.

Canon hope that the release of the new, video-enabled EOS 500D with further strengthen the brands position in the market, and no doubt lead to millions more DSLRs produced in the forthcoming years.
