General Imaging has refreshed its compact range, with nine new models set for release.

The new models offer ‘higher resolution and more powerful zooms than ever before’, and include one with waterproof capabilities.

The entry-level E range welcomes the E1250W, E1255W and E1276 models, all of which featuring 12MP sensors, 5x optical zooms and 3in LCD screens, aside from the E1276 which increases the zoom to 7x.

The A range, meanwhile, sees four new models in the shape of the A950, A1050, A1150 and A1250. All four models incorporate 5x optical zooms and 2.5in LCD screens, though the megapixel count varies between each model, from 9MP on the A950 to 12MP on the A1250.

Finally, the G3WP is a 10MP compact with waterproof capabilities up to 3m, while the X3 boasts a 12x optical zoom and 2.7in LCD screen. The models will be released from next month, though prices are yet to be released.
