Ricoh UK has announced that Alpha Digital Services has been appointed distributor of its digital camera range.
Ricoh claims that the move reinforces its commitment to the UK digital camera market, as well as strengthening its place within the retail sector. Based in the UK and Germany, the Ricoh Personal Multimedia Centre of Europe B.V supplies DVD drives, media and digital cameras to the Pan-European market.

From a background in film photography, including the popular film GR series, Ricoh released a succession of digital cameras, most recently the Caplio R3, which features a 7.1x optical 28-200mm wide-angle lens. The GR Digital is an 8MP compact with an f/2.4 38mm lens.
