Panasonic Lumix CM1 Review Sample Image Gallery - We put this smartphone-enabled compact through its paces
You can read our full thoughts on this smartphone/compact camera in our full Panasonic Lumix CM1 review.
The Panasonic Lumix CM1 follows on from a range of recent cameras looking to combine the modern requirement for connectivity with a serious digital imaging device.
This isn’t entirely new ground, and in fact it’s more common these days for a camera to debut with some form of Wi-fi connectivity allowing for the camera to be controlled via a smartphone or tablet and for images to be transferred to said device and uploaded to the social media network of choice.
There remain but a few cameras which have integrated a full smartphone functionality and the option to utilise a SIM card for wireless connectivity on the go. Samsung’s Galaxy Camera range is one such, although beyond this there is little competition.
The Lumix CM1, however, looks set to provide some welcome competition. The model features an Android-powered smartphone element alongside a serious digital camera specification, including a 1in, 20MP MOS sensor and Leica-engineered lens.
The camera spec also features Panasonic’s Venus Engine processor, while 4k video is also on offer.
On the whole the CM1 looks poised to break new ground in the camera / phone hybrid category, and we were really looking forward to testing it.
