Director Ridley Scott launches historic film project

Sir Ridley Scott, who directed Oscar winning films Gladiator and Black Hawk Down, has launched a film project to map 24 hours of life across the world. Called Life in a Day, the ambitious project looks to include snippets from submitted content taken during the 24th of July, then compile it into a documentary.

The results will premiere at the Sundance film festival next year in January. “The key is of course what appeals to you, the author,” said Sir Scott, who is producing the film alongside director Kevin Macdonald. “There’s no excuse. You have a digital camera, go out and shoot your film. Seriously, there is no excuse.”
