Our first look at the Canon EOS 700D / Rebel T5i, Canon's latest mid-range DSLR that replaces the EOS 650D.

The Canon EOS 700D is a direct replacement for the Canon EOS 650D, and for the most part mirrors the latter for most of its specification. The Canon EOS 700D includes the same 18MP Hybrid CMOS sensor as its predecessor, DIGIC 5 image processor and ISO range from 100-12,800, that can be expanded to an ISO equivalent of 25,600.

We managed to get our hands on a pre-production sample of the Canon EOS 700D ahead of the launch, spending a bit of time with the camera and getting a first impression.

Check out the video preview below to see what we thought, and for our full impressions head over to the Canon EOS 700D review.

This new 700D may excite Canon fans but its getting rediculous now, with a new model virtually every 18 Months. May be its the only way Canon can survive is to tempt the ‘must have the latest model people’.This then creates a vast second hand market of Canon gear.
